About Us
The Peter S. Allen MRI Research Centre is 100% research dedicated, state-of-the-art facility of Department of Radiology and Diagnostic imaging, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Alberta. It is a home of two full-body MRI systems (3T Prisma, and 4.7T) as well as manages a pre-clinical Bruker PET/3T MRI and provides a wide range of possibilities in magnetic resonance research and clinical research applications.
Prospective students
Depending on your level of interest in the field of magnetic resonance (MR), you can choose a program - and a supervisor - accordingly. From MR engineering (coil and/or sequence development) or applied clinical studies with one of the Radiology/Biomedical engineering professors, to a clinical field that uses MR as one of the tools, with one of our clinical collaborators.
